Candidates interested in applying for the SSC CGL 2024 Examination can do so online through the official SSC website. The last date for submitting the SSC CGL Application Form is July 24, 2024. The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam will take place between September and October 2024, with the Tier 2 Exam scheduled for December 2024.

Education Qualification
For the Post of Junior Statistical Officer: Graduates in any subject from a recognized University or College with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level;
or Graduates in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
For the Post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Graduates in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. Candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all three years or all six semesters of their graduation course.
For the Post of Research Assistant in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):
Essential Qualifications: Graduates from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or research institution, or
Graduates in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
For all other Post: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
Note: Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply; however, they must obtain the essential qualification by the cut-off date, August 1, 2024.
Age Limit
The age limit for the general category candidate is 18 to 27 years. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by up to 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100 (Rupees one hundred only) for all candidates, except for women and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation, who are exempted from payment. The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.
Selection Process
The SSC CGL Selection Process 2024 will be conducted in two-tier as indicated below:
Stage 1: Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination

Stage 2: Tier-II:
- Paper I (Compulsory for all posts)
- Paper II (Candidates for Junior Statistical Officer posts)
- All candidates who successfully apply for the SSC CGL exam will be assigned roll numbers and admit cards for the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
- Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in the Tier-II Examination.
- Separate cut-offs will be released for Paper II of Tier-II (for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)) and Paper I of Tier-II (for all other posts).
- The Tier-II Examination will be conducted for all candidates who qualify in Tier-I.
- In Tier II, all candidates will be required to appear in Paper I, but only those shortlisted for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) will need to appear in Paper II.
- The final selection list will be prepared based solely on the marks scored by candidates in Paper II.
